recently exhibited at Le Mois de la Photo in Montreal, the Richmond Art Gallery in Richmond BC, and Artropolis in Vancouver, The Grass Project examines
the landscape architecture of suburban development as marking
an ongoing investment in modernity. From the ultra-tidy landscape
of parking lots, subdivisions,
or big-box shopping centers, the marriage of nature and concrete
represents a prevailing
hope that the new will bring a better future. |
